| Players have been
asking for years for an amp that exhibits the same sonic
qualities of my larger amps at bedroom volumes. I'm
working on a design that will mate the Bluedrive preamp with a
15 to 22 watt output section that utilizes a Princeton Reverb
replacement power transformer.
I'm inviting design considerations from potential customers
right now so if you are someone who would spend in the
neighborhood of $2000 for a high quality bedroom amp please tell
me what's important to you.
Here's what I've got so far:
Cranked tone at bedroom volume
Fender cleans
Head or combo
Not as many knobs as the Bluedrive
Potential to play small clubs. Tom Bukovac is using a
Princeton Reverb I modified for him to perform in and around
Nashville. He wants something a little bigger. He
says 22 watts would be nice. I'm trying to figure out how
to satisfy him and the bedroom crowd with the same amp. He
wants less knobs than the Blueverb too. For anyone trying
to understand guitar and amp tone you should research Tom
